Western El Dorado County Bike Map

The Western El Dorado County Bike Map provides information on where to bicycle in El Dorado County. The map is available in both print and online formats.

The print map is being made available at the following locations:

  • El Dorado County Transportation Commission
  • local bike shops
  • City of Placerville Parks and Recreation Office
  • El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce
  • Cameron Park Community Services District
  • El Dorado Hills Community Services District
  • El Dorado Hills California Welcome Center
We have also launched an interactive online bicycle map,

The following types of routes are identified:

  • Class I Paved Bike Path
  • Class II Bike Lanes
  • Class III Bike Routes
  • Rural Cycling Routes – (Roads with little shoulder and often higher speed traffic)
  • Neighborhood Connectors – (Preferred cycling roads connecting community destinations)
  • Natural Surface Trails – (Dirt routes for mountain biking or hiking)
In addition, the maps identify points of interest including bike shops, schools, grocery stores, bike parking, bus stops, park-and-ride lots, bike lockers, public lands, trailheads, and much more!

The Western El Dorado County Bike Map was completed in partnership with a dedicated group of local bicycle enthusiasts who helped guide the direction and content of the map. With funding obtained by EDCTC through a California Active Transportation Program grant, the print map was developed by Redwood Community Action Agency, and the online interactive map was developed by Trailhead Labs.
